A antiga Mina de São Domingos é um local singular. Outrora uma 

importante exploração de cobre, encontra-se hoje abandonada. Os carris 

da velha linha que permitia transportar o minério até ao Pomarão foram 

arrancados e o que resta são fragmentos de edifícios e alguns lagos de 

água contaminada. A paisagem rochosa, desprovida de vegetação, faz 

lembrar um ambiente lunar.
